Salary:
£60,000 pro rata ; annualised hours (equivalent to FTE).


Contract:
Permanent, Hybrid role, flexible and part time

City of Bristol College is a large, vibrant general FE college, with a recent Ofsted rating of Good. It operates from four sites across Bristol. It is a major employer with over 800 staff providing teaching and learning to over 20,000 students.

We are now recruiting a Director of Governance & Clerk to the Corporation at an exciting time in the College's development.
The College is developing a new strategic plan and will have a new Chair of Governors in August 2024.

About the role:


The Director of Governance will play a crucial part in providing strategic direction and leadership in the development and implementation of governance structures, policies and procedures, aligned with the college's mission, values and strategic priorities to support the achievement of educational excellence.


The person appointed will be an experienced governance professional with strong leadership and strategic planning skills and the ability to build positive relationships, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between the Board and senior leaders.

Enthusiasm, drive and confidence to ensure governance arrangements continue to be robust and effective are essential.
