About You:


We are looking for a delivery focused and highly organised Senior Maintenance Planner who will play a critical role in the safety management, maintenance, and refurbishment of McCarthy Stone developments.

This is an exciting, challenging, and unique role that would suite an individual who has extensive experience in managing property maintenance plans and scheduling activity; demonstrable experience in planning tasks relating to property (ie. facilities, assets, defects, PPM); proven ability to manage a team remotely and through hybrid working and experience of working at management or team leader level in a services and customer centric organisation.


You will bring a collaborative approach to work as you will be required to work proactively and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; you possess a high level of commercial thinking; the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and experience of successful working in a matrix management structure.


The Role


The Senior Maintenance Planner is responsible for the leadership and development of their team members, and the successful delivery of all projects, surveys and remedials across the estate of developments managed by McCarthy Stone Management Services and third-party developments where required.

This includes planned works, landlord compliance checks, defect, and repairs resolution, and coordinating surveys and inspections.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational leadership of a team of Property Operations Planners.
  • Provide input with the implementation and management of processes, procedures, technologies and ways of working.
  • Manage the planning and scheduling of defect and repair works using Fixflo within SLA timescales.
  • These are in addition to the core responsibilities of the role._


This is a hybrid/remote working role, and you will be required from time to time to travel to our developments across the Midlands and Northern England.

Your Attributes

You will have

  • IWFM qualification / membership desirable, or working towards
  • GSCE Maths and English at Grace C or above (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development

You will bring

  • Able to work on his / her own initiative and organise the daily workload in line with priority.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • Presentation skills including to a large and varied audience.
  • Be able to write considered communications in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in crisis management.
