Description

art-K is a private art education service which teaches children who love art Using a wide range of mediums and techniques, the club aims to teach children a diverse range of artistic styles as well as 3D projects.

We're looking to find passionate, motivated and friendly Workshop Leaders to join art-K Beckenham on a fixed term contract during the summer holidays to both lead and assist in workshops.

Job responsibilities

Work in a fun, club environment with high teacherstudent ratios where children are enthusiastic about art.
Have facetoface training on the summer workshop programme.
Run workshops or, if the branch manager/part time teacher are in, assist running workshops.

Details

Class preparations will include, but not limited to:

Laying out materials
Talking through aims with assistants
Sharpening pencils
Washing paint brushes
Cutting out templates
Prepping materials
Ad hoc other

Teaching the class will include, but is not limited to:

Discussing techniques needed to complete a project with the students.
Demoing the techniques when required.
Keeping the students engaged on the project & providing alternatives when required.
Ensuring the learning aims are achieved.
Adhering to the safeguarding policy and maintaining the health and safety policies in the studio.
Creating a safe, happy, nurturing environment for students to thrive in during their workshops with artK.
