Here at Team Educate, we're currently in search of exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants looking to take a step-up in responsibilities for a school located in the Shirley area.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Unit Lead in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Help supervise and manage classroom behaviour
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
  • Take agency with daily tasks such as preparing materials, setting up activities, and leading creative, practical and sensory activities

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting or with those with Autism
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and other staff members
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
Up to £100.00 per day

Expected hours:
No more than 37.5 per week
