Bridge College educates a broad range of young people aged between 16-25 years with learning disabilities, physical difficulties and Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Positive Behaviour Supportare embedded into college life and the curriculum to facilitate students' learning and progress.


Therapy teams use their expert knowledge to upskill the wider staff team through high quality training and collaborative working to ensure that therapeutic strategies are embedded across the curriculum and throughout college.


Working pattern -37.5 hours per week worked Monday through to Friday over 43 weeks per year. Pro-rated holiday entitlement added to salary. Term Time Only. There may be occasions where there is a requirement to work out of hours which mayinclude evening and weekend working. Home visits may also be required.


Salary -£26,031.24 to increase to £29,608.84 from April 2023

Two yearly increments (salary already pro-rated to working weeks)


Location -Bridge College, Whitworth Street, Openshaw, Manchester. A service provided by Together Trust.

What can you bring to the service...?


You will be expected to monitor and direct integrated therapy procedures across the College and liaise with Families, Carers and outside agencies on therapy related matters.


Clinical requirements of the role are to be responsible for the physiotherapy needs of a caseload of students, along with undertaking physiotherapy assessments utilising clinical observation and judgement combined with theoretical knowledge, taking a holisticperspective of the students needs.

Can you develop Physiotherapy plans in with the educational and progression goals of students and deliver hydrotherapy and rebound therapy?

Do you have a Degree in Physiotherapy and are a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy?

We are looking for someone with experience of moving and handling and working in a multi-disciplinary team. Do you have experience in Physiotherapy assessments and treatment planning along with experience of target setting and evaluation?
