Our client is a forward thinking, innovative, off-site manufacturing business are looking to add a Pre Construction Manager to join their team.

They are a well established business with a strong pipeline of work.
Due to continued growth they are seeking a Pre Construction Manager to join their team. If you have experience of LGSF or alternatively SIP we want to hear from you.

Overview
To manage and oversee assigned projects pre-construction process. Focus on all aspects of initial design interface with clients ranging from conceptual design through to various RIBA design stages

To aid in the early transition of translating the architects design to suit the and act as the main point of contact for Design related queries from handover to Design Freeze.

To quickly and efficiently communicate any changes in design to the Commercial team.

Duties

Aid in the production of an architectural design that fully and correctly integrates the system using standard and non-standard details.

Update and coordinate any design amendments, maintaining a register of changes.
Update, coordinate and maintain a Design Programme during the Pre-construction process.
Coordinate and liaise with external parties to include main contractors, architects, consultants and specialists developing relationships.
Manage technical questions and queries that are generated from within the design team & from external sources.
Report to Design & Structural Manager on work in progress.
Maintain a commercial awareness relating to changes in scope and communicate internally on a regular basis with the Concept Manager
Attend Pre-Contract & Design Meetings and record agreements/discussions formally internally and externally
Value engineering on a project by project basis.
Work closely with the structural engineers to provide sub-structure loadings and structural scheme.
Working to meet set deadlines. Relay changes in design that may affect the same.
Provide a detailed handover of all Design and Technical aspects of a project to the project team.
Provide ongoing support and client interaction throughout the design process to design freeze, up to project completion.
Provide technical support to sales team by issuing information and/ or attending client sales meetings.

Authorities
Produce and manage the Design Programme for each individual project
Commission internal and external Engineers to produce Structural Schemes (costs to be signed off by Design & Structural Manager)
Represent the company at external meetings on a regular basis
Knowledge and Experience

Extensive knowledge and experience of:

AutoCAD

Revit
Light steel frame principles and design.
Working with consultant teams i.e. Architects, Structural engineers
Working to tight timescales
Working as part of a team or on their own.
Construction related qualification, degree or similar.
Microsoft Project and / or Asta Project.
