Overview -
The development of nationally significant utility supply infrastructure is a positive step towards ensuring resilient supplies. This requires new and innovative thinking around the way that our client regulates supply infrastructure.
They are looking for two interim regulatory analysts to support for a period of 9 to 12 months.

The focus of these roles is to help shape the commercial and regulatory framework to enable the delivery of large-scale strategic resources environment.

You will be part of a dynamic team, bringing thought leadership, regulatory experience and strong analytical skills to help shape the commercial, regulatory and institutional arrangements that will have a tangible and meaningful impact on society for many generationsto come.

You will play a critical role in delivering key parts of the regulatory and commercial work programme, leading on policy analysis and advising the senior leadership team.


Key deliverable's -
Some of the key areas where you will contribute include:

  • Developing longer-term strategic policy, handling uncertainty and ambiguity, to support the development of wider regulatory and commercial frameworks to deliver large scale multi-party infrastructure development. This includes, but not limited to, the followingareas
  • Commercial delivery models for strategic infrastructure;
  • Standardised agreements/Industry codes;
  • Arrangements for daytoday operations of shared water supplies, including how water is allocated between buyers of water;
  • Encouraging greater interconnectivity to promote resilience;
  • To influence, Inform and engage with Internal and External stakeholders to progress key policy areas. This includes influencing and managing strategic policy relationships with government, regulators, companies and NGOs.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of data and insights within the organisation, proactively sharing skills and knowledge.
  • Providing wider support of the team in delivering its forward programme and the interactions with other clusters
This organisation need highly motivated individuals with strong regulatory experience, preferably in the water sector. They will also bring strong policy development skills, being able to identify and evaluate options within robust analytical frameworks.


Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of strategic policy development, design, analysis & implementation, with an emphasis on creative and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of best practice in policy and strategy development and delivery
  • Experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality policy and strategic thinking.
  • Experience of engaging effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in infrastructure and utility policy, environment and water policy, economic and wider regulatory policy or consumer policy
  • Experience of using data, data visualisation and analysis in presenting key conclusions to influence thinking and approach
