Job description:


In this role you will:

The Groups providing administration services to the whole of Dstl are situated within the Operations Division. We are seeking Level 3 administrators for multiple roles. Along with 1 level 4 for a Fixed term Appointment (FTA)


The People, Security and Resilience (PSR) Group includes both People Services and Security & Resilience (PSR) capabilities. They support everyone who works for, and with, Dstl across our sites by providing the administrative support to the People Value Chain and ensuring Dstl's operational delivery is both resilient and secure. Our work covers a range of disciplines and we are organised in teams with associated technical and professional experience and service responsibilities.


The Business Administration Services (BAS) Group provides a critical role in Dstl's information risk management through a network of Local Help Points (LHP) and the Records Management Centre (RMC). The BAS Group delivers high quality administrative support to the wider business, enabling the divisions within the organisation to achieve their business objectives.


The Business Support Services (BSS) Group provides specialist, embedded support across the organisation. Working in partnership, we manage information providing governance and assurance on our networks and ensure staff are working safely and securely by managing assets through process and policy. We are the gatekeepers to our senior leaders, ensuring their time is spent on high priority business activities by providing personal support. We free up time by ensuring processes are lean through continuous improvement or business improvement activities whilst operating an excellent Customer Service approach.


Person specification:


we are looking for someone who has:

  • A good understanding of administration.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of an effective team.
  • Demonstrates good customer service skills.
  • The desire to be innovative to support the vision of the group.
Responsibilities will vary depending on the preferred role.


Important Information


This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
