Would you like to support young people (16 plus) with autism or a learning disability to the next step in their lives? You will be based in a school 4 days a week (with day 5 at home to get caught up with paperwork).Although initially a fixed term contractuntil July 2023, the charity you are working for are hopeful this will extend to a longer-term post.

Working with around 20 young people, you will support them to discover what the next step in their journey is.

This could be education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Typical tasks throughout the week could include:

  • Delivering workshops a week which cover soft skills and employability
  • Hold one to ones with young people to support their progress
  • Link up with partners both internally and externally to move young people into educational / work programmes
  • Reach out to employers to secure work experience placement opportunities
  • Liaise with employers and young people for placement feedback


You might have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Employment Advisor, Careers Advisor, Work Experience Coordinator or similar.
