An exciting opportunity has become available for a number of clinicians to join our new West of Berkshire dedicated Mental Health Team for Children in Care.

This service has been newly developed in partnership with our three Local Authority colleagues in West Berkshire (Newbury), Reading and Wokingham.


2 posts available: 2 full time 37.5 hours a week posts -Senior/Specialist Mental Health clinician - Band 8a Based at Erlegh House, University of Reading.

Staff will be based with the three Local Authorities in West Berkshire, Reading and Wokingham, alongside Local Authority teams who are working with CiC.

BHFT will lead the delivery of this service across the three local Authorities within the West of Berkshire.

The CiC is being established to ensure that children who are in care receive quicker access to mental health support, by working in partnership and sharing knowledge, we hope to effectively meet the needs of children and young people in care and their carers by providing evidenced based interventions that meet their need.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of and contribute to a newly developing and innovative service.
T hese are important posts at the interface with partner agencies and specialist CAMHS.

The posts have been informed and agreed in partnership with our Local Authority colleagues, who remain key partners in the development of the service.
