Data Analyst - Fintech - Liverpool Street - Hybrid

Avanti Recruitment are currently working with an independent trading company who specialise in commodity derivates trading. The company are looking to take on Data Analyst to join their small existing team. The company are based in the heart of London withgreat transport links.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the in-house data is of good quality through data cleaning and validation processes.

The Data Analyst works closely with the trading team to perform backtesting of various strategies and handles business-as-usualactivities such as calculating hedge ratios, gathering data, and resolving Value-at-Risk queries.

The Data Analyst is also expected to develop a strong understanding of the trading market, including aspects such as pricing, term structure, liquidity, volatility,portfolio optimization, and fundamentals.

Essential Skills:

Expert with Microsoft Excel
Good SQL
Python
Ability to query JSON APIs
Background in Fintech or solid interest in commodity trading

Desirable skills:

Interest in machine learning
Data Visualisation ie. PowerBI
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail

This role is based in Liverpool Street and will be based onsite for the first 3 months while you get up to speed then can offer hybrid working.

The salary on offer for this position is up to a 50% Bonus + Flexible working hours + Healthcare, 25 days holiday (Plus Bank Holiday), training budget and career development plan.
