Job Purpose
:
This is a maternity cover contract

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Livestock Planning Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for compiling the weekly production plan, ensuring effective coordination with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments.

Your primary focus will be to monitor, update, and maintain the daily supply of pigs to our site, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

You will also play a crucial role in managing business critical accounts/reports, maintaining accurate data, and supporting the smooth running of our operations.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Compile the weekly plan, coordinating with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain the daily supply of stock to the site, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Work closely with the site on business critical issues to ensure compliance.
  • Reconcile data daily for payment, process payments, and communicate back to suppliers.
  • Liaise with marketing groups, suppliers, and hauliers for the efficient running of the business.
  • Maintain and update the departmental database, ensuring accuracy and adherence to site, customer, and legal standards.
  • Input data, maintain spreadsheets/forecasts, and run reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with supplier queries, including payment inquiries.
  • Collate weekly data, prepare submission files, and submit them to the industry's governing body (AHDB).
  • Collaborate with the Rural Payments Agency to provide requested documentation.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of planning or scheduling
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Agricultural background is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in data inputting and report running.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, and databases.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive with the ability to take ownership.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure when needed.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
