Exploitation Social Worker


A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Exploitation team, which is currently going through a transformation to provide a more direct and specialist service to those that are affected by this issue.


Highlights:


  • This post will see you contribute to the development of the Local Authorities specialist exploitation team which is currently evolving to provide a multi agency and specialist service.
  • You will have the opportunity to be
    involved in the mapping process to determine where these issues occur outside the home and disrupt these activities.

Cases will be co-worked with Exploitation specialists who offer intensive relationship-based practice and intervention with the exploited young person in the family.

  • The post offers a very high level of autonomy and members of the team are home based and only need to carry out their visits within timescales


This is an exciting opportunity which is within a team that is currently evolving to provide a more specialist response to the exploitation issues that the Local Authority are currently investigating.

Therefore this would be a good fit for an experiencedpractitioner who is looking to really have an impact on the delivery of the service and contribute their ideas to the management team as to what they found has worked well.

You will be encouraged to use your experience and creativity to help support the furtherdevelopment of the team.


The post currently sits within the broader Safeguarding service and uses a multi agency approach to help tackle issues where exploitation maybe present.

The aim is to create a mapping tool so that these issue can be tackled at the source in order to preventfurther risk.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience within a front line Social Work team. If you have previous experience working in an exploitation team this would be a bonus.
