- What you will be doing
- You will support Senior Transport Optimisation Specialist in delivering a programme of route optimisation activity across the AHDL / Cencora transport network. Using transport planning and scenario modelling software to plan transport routes for the UK AHDL / Cencora transport network. You will ensure that all BAU requests from various stakeholders are completed within a timely manner, maintaining all base data is through transport planning software.
Principal Accountabilities:
1 Maintain a base model of the existing routes across the network, making sure all data is kept as accurate and up to date as possible
2 Ensure high levels of service and efficiency by carrying out route review activity in accordance with the optimisation plan, ensuring customer constraints and company operational standards are adhered too
3 Upon above, you must ensure all changes comply with drivers' hours legislation
4 Undertake routine analysis of current transport operations to understand current position vs. budget MOM (Transport Ops Model)
5 Ensure all BAU requests from all stakeholders are handled and actioned in a timely manner
6 Handle Ad-Hoc Requests
Key Dimensions:
This role will work towards the delivery of yearly planned Route reviews within the AHDL Van and HGV Networks with cost and legal controls in place.

Additional Information:
Some National travel required, with occasional overnight stays

Essential Requirements:
- Have strong problem solving, numerate and analytical skills, with the ability to use, interpret and produce detailed spreadsheet information
- Data visualisation: The ability to translate data into clear, understandable insights
- A willingness to learn and upskill in tools that assist logistics problems
- Full driving license
