Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Buyer to join TecQuipments busy and highly motivated Purchasing team.

TecQuipment manufacture over 400 educational products to a high-quality system and you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Purchasing team.

The work is varied, interesting and demanding.

Main responsibilities will include:

Place orders in response to production demands and followup to ensure goods are delivered before they are needed in production in line with TecQuipment procedures
Update the MRP system so all delivery dates are kept up to date and informing Production management of any issues ahead of time whilst working with suppliers to resolve any problems
Monitor and manage open Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery and to keep Production informed of any unrecoverable delays
Maintain seamless communication and coordination with Production, Engineering and Finance as appropriate
Support Production in the management of material flow through the factory as may be required
Deputise for the Buyer when they are not available making sure orders are placed, followedup, and received in line with Production Planning expectations, resolving and communicating issues affecting delivery and quality
Identify when productions cannot be planned to meet customer deadlines and investigate alternatives in conjunction with the Production Manager
Work with the IT Manager to resolve booking issues as necessary to allow productions to be RAFd when complete
