Senior Data Engineer

Multiple locations:
Swindon, Bristol, Berkshire and Reading


My client, a large investment bank in the UK is seeking senior data engineer to work closely with core technology and architecture teams, to deliver strategic data solutions.


The Role:


As a senior data engineer, you will play a key part in building a scalable data that contains a customer rich dataset.

You will be responsible for driving the automation of the data pipelines through the removal of the manual stages.


As the senior data engineer, you will be tasked with leading and inspiring a team of more junior engineers to drive value from data for the customer.


  • Strong Data Engineering experience


  • Strong Cloud experience

  • GCP, Azure or AWS
  • Big Data Technology experience e.g. Hadoop,
  • Real time Data streaming beneficial e.g. Kafka or Spark
  • ETL Pipelining experience


  • Data visualization experience

  • PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Python
  • Lead experience, having direct reports.
  • Strong Communication skills
