We are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants who are interested supporting students in a mainstream secondary school.


THE SEN TEACHING ASSISTANTS POSTS INFORMATION:

A secondary school located in Kensington and Chelsea are seeking teaching assistants to join the department and assist the teachers and students within the classroom.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistants will be a clear communicator, someone dedicated, be a good role model and be passionate about building rapport with students.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE:

  • degree qualified
  • Good GCSE Grades

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • 8am 5pm


  • Monday

  • Friday
  • Fulltime ideally

WHAT DOES THE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:

The teaching role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments.

The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4, and the desire to work with Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential.


WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT?

As a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment.

Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers.

As a SEN Teaching Assistants teaching assistant, you'll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.


WHAT WILL YOU AND THE SCHOOL DO TO HELP ME IF I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE?

As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by us and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO.

These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supported by ourselves.

Regular meetings and CPD training sessions are offered to ensure you are learning, growing and developing within the SEN Teaching Assistants teaching assistant role.

Resources at the school are fantastic; all departments are well resourced, have a supportive team and are keen to secure someone to essentially support them.
