The Product - Infor MES
Infor is a leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software. Infor MES helps manufacturing companies manage and improve operations across production, quality, inventory, and maintenance.
We have customers worldwide in key industries such as automotive, building & construction, food & beverage, life science, machinery & equipment, packaging, and sustainable energy.
Infor MES software uses some of the latest technology in its stack and we constantly innovate to improve both the range of features the product offers, as well as the delivery of them.
The Graduate ProgramWe are looking for Gradua tes to work from our Crawley office in the UK as technical consultants.
As a graduate, you start on a two-year rotation program designed to provide you with a range of experiences (including both technical and soft skills), by working with different customer project teams implementing customer solutions and working on the core product as part of the development team.
We provide a 10-week training program at the start of your employment. This training introduces you to the product by getting you to build your own MES system.Then you will move onto the technical training where you will get the basics of developing within the MES ecosystem.
After training you'll join one of our small teams, where you will have a mentor and begin your journey building MES solutions for our customersExample of what you will learn:
Technical Skills:
C#,.Net, SQL, HTML 5, CSS, React
Soft Skills:
Requirements interpretation, technical writing, customer communication
Infor MES:
how it is architected, structured, installed, configured to build solutions
Systems skills:
Understanding databases, Software Development Environments, Virtual Machines
Business processes:
Agile software development, release processes, installation processes, deployment processes, support processes, project processes, change management processes.
What will you be doing?
Working on a variety of projects for major manufacturers; Improving their business processes, streamlining production, and ensuring product quality You will be involved in many large-scale projects that are in progress at any one time across a variety of different manufacturing industries.
As a Technical Consultant at Infor, you will work across many disciplines, writing reliable, maintainable code that tailors our product to customer needs, delivering outstanding solutions.
You'll be part of a highly connected community within the MES Team who regularly meet and collaborate in order to build and deliver the best solutions.
A global customer baseOur customers are all over the world, and as part of a project team, you may visit customers to help understand requirements and to see first-hand how the software is going to be used.
This level of access gives you a unique insight into how the product needs to be shaped going forward, as well as providing the detailed understanding enabling you to extend the product for the customer's needs.
You will get to work with a variety of technologiesWorking across the ENTIRE STACK
As part of our graduate rotation scheme, you will have the opportunity to experience all areas of product development, solution delivery and customer support, and will gain experience with a wide variety of technologies and platforms, including database, server-side scripting, and front-end development.
In addition, you will have an opportunity to be part of an agile team involved in daily stand-ups and planning throughout so will get to appreciate what is involved in working together to build and deliver robust real-world systems used in business-critical situations.
Your ProfileSkills and qualifications:
Graduated within computer science/engineering/math/physics
Strong interest in developing programming skills: C#,.NET, SQL, HTML 5, CSS, React
Driven and result oriented personality with excellent communication skills
Doer, with strong analytical skills and leadership experience/qualities
A keen interest to work directly with our customers; both virtually and on site
Must be proficient in English
