The Army is a diverse and varied place to work, we are currently recruiting Personal Assistant (PAs) to support a number of Senior Principals (Brigadier/Senior Civil Service Pay Band 1) across the Army Strategic Headquarters in Andover and its formations across the Salisbury Plain Area working at the forefront of Army Operations.
Job description:
You will co-ordinate travel arrangements, utilising an internal travel booking system, ensuring bookings are made in line with policy and procedure.
You will:
- Be selfmotivated, highly organised and able to work well within a small team, whilst working collaboratively with the wider team and Army Headquarters.
- Have strong interpersonal skills.
- Use sound judgement.
- Work quickly and concisely in order to meet demanding priorities.
- Have a sound understanding of Microsoft packages.
- Have the ability to converse effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
Person specification:
- Collating supporting information in preparation for meetings and ensuring paper and/or electronic meeting packs are available ahead of each meeting.
- Assist with enquires to and from Principals.
- Arrange travel and suitable meeting arrangements.
- Establish and sustain an effective network with other outer office colleagues to ensure cooperation and best use of the Principals time.
- Book refreshments and working lunches as the need arises.
- Source and book suitable conference rooms and ensure IT equipment, including audio and visual technology is set up accurately in preparation for each meeting.
- Manage hospitality and other mandatory reporting requirements as required.
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
- Previous experience in a PA position would be advantageous.
