Our client, a successful M&E contractor is currently looking to add an experienced commercial gas service & breakdown engineer covering the West Midlands due to continued growth.


Job Description:


The successful applicant would be required to attend service and reactive breakdowns to carry out fault finding, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost-effective manner providing high levels of first-time fix and exemplary customer service.

Carrying out servicing and safety checks on heating systems, identifying any necessary works/repairs in the process.

Communicating with the business when the original job order does not reflect the work/repairs that need to be carried out to bring the boiler and/or heating systems to a safe working order.

Keeping the customer/tenant and the business updated with the progress of works and giving estimated timeframes in circumstances where a first-time fix is not possible.


  • Recognised gas apprenticeship and Commercial gas certificates ACS
  • CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1, CPA
  • Gas experience within the commercial sector e.g., Analysing, fault finding, service, repair, and maintenance on gas/heating installations and appliances.
  • Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multimeter
  • Flexible approach: due to travel aspect, this is a mobile position that will involve traveling to multiple sites across the West Midlands
  • Be part of the emergency callout team on a rota basis (1 in 68 weeks)
  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as within a team.
  • Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required.
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Basic IT Skills

Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Salary:
Up to £43,000 per Annum
