This role entails
This role is responsible for the operational delivery and implementation of all promotional activities for an allocated channel/s - whether it be owned linear & vod and/or commercial linear & vod across all of Group Marketing's business area responsibilities


Key responsibilities

  • Be the audience & editorial guardian of promotional breaks and inventory across your allocated channel/s.
  • Plan and schedule effectively the delivery of multiple promotional campaigns against target audiences
  • Manage and deliver campaign targets in line with marketing prioritisation
  • Be the lead contact for your channel/s for all On Air queries
  • Manage day to day queries from stakeholders around the business (Marketing/Media/Creative/Programme Strategy/Broadcast Ops/Commercial)
  • Work as part of a team to ensure an integrated portfolio approach for campaigns whilst balancing demand & supply of airtime between channels
  • Provide all necessary updates & reports to the business as required
  • Work closely with the Media Planning Managers to deliver and develop plans, analyse & evaluate audience data & insight, incorporating learning into future plans using various research systems (techedge / adalyser etc)

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:


Minimum role criteria:


  • Proven experience in managing & delivering campaign targets such as ratings and conversions for multiple target audiences
  • Proven track record in managing the implementation of promotional campaigns into promotions scheduling software
  • Proven management of audience flow within a channel & across a portfolio through the use of navigation tools such as continuity & presentation items

The Key role criteria is as follows:

  • Strong understanding of TV viewing behaviour essential and the impact this has on shaping breaks & promotional campaigns
  • A thorough understanding of BARB data & the ability to interrogate such data using Infosys or Advantedge software
  • Understanding of multimedia campaign planning and planning terminology
  • Ability to influence and persuade by presenting sound & robust arguments to convince others of scheduling decisions & recommendations
  • Understanding of the commercial and editorial pressures on promotional airtime
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects & prioritise workload
