About The Role:

This is why we have a created a new opportunity for someone to join the HR team as a Reward & Benefits Assistant.

This role can be based in our
Worcester, Cheltenham, Birmingham or Cardiff office.


Role purpose


Reporting directly in to the Reward, Benefit & Systems Manager you will provide efficient support throughout annual reward and reporting processes, including salary/bonus reviews, promotions, gender pay reporting, benefits renewals.

You will deal with reward and benefit queries and provide data reports and insights to support all areas of the HR team.


Key responsibilities/tasks:


  • Support with key compensation processes such as bonus, promotions and annual salary review
  • Actively manage responses to Reward & Benefits queries from employees, HR colleagues and managers in a timely fashion
  • Development and maintenance of Salary Benchmarking data and Salary Models that help provide actionable insights ahead of the pay review
  • Ensuring communications & materials on benefits are clear & up to date
  • Arranging annual pensions and benefits clinics (e.g. webinars, comms, workshops)
  • Administering updates of employee data to suppliers for annual renewals (PMI, Income Protection, Life Assurance)
  • Assist the Rewards and Benefits Manager with tracking of expenditure and reconciling invoices.
  • Proactively support People Team managers on data reporting, administration and governance tasks
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, brokers and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of services to employees and troubleshoot issues.
  • Translate complex data findings into easily digestible formats for HR leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Provide data and statistics as required to support HR colleagues as well as other internal functions, such as Finance/Payroll, and in respect of client tenders and surveys.
  • Interpreting employee data to identify significant differences, relationships, and trends in data.

  • Well organised, articulate, numerate and commercial
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Inquisitive and curious a desire to want to understand what the data is illustrating and why
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with colleagues, senior managers, stakeholders and suppliers is key
  • Detailoriented
  • Experience of extraction / analysis of large data sets
  • Advanced/expert excel skills able to use sophisticated pivot tables and other visuals to help interpret and display data analysis in a clear and meaningful way
  • Strength in numeracy, analysis and problem solving
  • Flexibility, selfmotivation, and reliability
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm in time pressured environment
  • Knowledge of people processes and reward/benefits is desirable
