Description
Reporting to the production engineering team leader, the department is responsible for all current model, new product introduction, engineering, and continuous improvement activities within the plant.
You will be part of a team of engineers collaboratingacross functions, from Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and maintenance. The interaction will be within the Belper plant and with Group members across Europe.Client Details

Description
- Driving actions with cross functional teams to improve all KPIs for the plant, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives.
- Participation in the Daily Startup/Accountability meeting as required.
- Manage and implement engineering changes requests from design to production
- Support electropneumatic production test equipment.
- Working with NPI Project engineers to implement new products to existing and new production lines.
- Manage and present data to various levels of the organisation
Profile
- A background in a Mechanical/ Electrical engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally educated to degree level but individuals with HNC, relevant qualifications and industrial experience will be considered with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience of automated assembly management systems and production IT systems.
- A proven track record as a process / manufacturing engineer delivering significant value to an organisation and have a sense of urgency to deliver to your internal customers solutions on time and to requirement.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate with crossfunctional teams plus a key team player is essential to this role, you will need to have good interpersonal skills and be a proactive engineer able to work with all levels of an organisation.
- Able to drive process change and development in a demanding environment
- Possess a practical approach to problem solving using A3 / 8D problem solving methodology, analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions.
