This is an exciting opportunity to join a global manufacturer as their Operations Accountant.

This is a very ambitious business that would suit someone who wants to work in an operational and hands on finance role.

Butler Rose are delighted to be working with this fantastic business based in the Carlisle area.

They have a strong brand in their field, with a rich history and loyal customer base spanning many years, turnover over £150 million with plans to grow further.

Your new role as Operations Accountant:

Your duties will include:
Acting as a key business partner to wide range of stakeholders, both within finance and cross-functionally

Assist with the preparation, review and communication of financial result to strict deadlines, with focus on the following areas of responsibility:
Inventory

Manufacturing Overheads

Plant Efficiencies

Fixed asset management

Working closely with the Financial Controller to understand impact of Operational performance on UK result

KPI Analysis and reporting

Assisting with the preparation and review of annual budgets in accordance with group timeframe

Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with Internal controls

Liaising with both Internal and External auditors

Acting as key support for fellow Finance team members, providing cover when required

Acting as the financial lead on various cross functional projects as required

Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

Management of Plant Analyst

The Experience & Qualifications Required:
Highest levels of professional standards, integrity and confidentiality.

Team player who motivates and develops direct reports and other team members.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform to produce results in a team environment.

Fully qualified accountant with 2 years PQE

In depth knowledge of latest financial standards

Experience and a successful track record of working in a financial control environment

The ability to manage multiple projects/priorities is required.

SAP ERP experience highly desirable

Excellent analytical skills and ability to assimilate data from various sources and synthesise inputs into actionable plans.

Your Reward & The Package On Offer:
As Operations Accountant, you shall receive
A salary of up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Company Pension - 9% employer contribution

25 days holiday plus bank increasing up to 28 with length of service
