Description

Our client is a global leader in advanced insulation and building envelope solutions. They design and manufacture products such as hot water cylinders, storage tanks, safety systems etc.
They are seeking an Operations Manager on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will report directly to the Commercial & Operations Director, this is a full-time permanent site-based role where you will have responsibility for all operational functions, specificallyproduction and the overall site itself.

Key Responsibilities:

Have complete operational responsibility for H&S, quality, target adherence and process adherence
Driving continuous improvement and cost reduction, really leading on the development and implementation of quality procedures
Ensure all site team adheres to company H&S procedures with regard to PPE, accident/incident reporting, Chemical safety etc.
Play a key part in continuous improvement and root cause analysis
Continually look to reduce waste and reduce costs to the business, working closely with the Finance Dept to understand overheads and expenditure
Liaise across the business to ensure that all products are manufactured within the required timeframes and to correct quality standards
Manage the capacity of the factory, maximising yield and productivity
Ensure robust stock management is in place and working capital targets are met
Work closely with engineering and procurement on stock, BOM accuracy
Manage the Maintenance Team to enable high levels of Operational Effectiveness by reducing machine and plant down time
