The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment have been working with one of Edinburgh's fastest growing and innovative companies over the past few months.

We have successfully placed a number of professionals within the organisation and as such they have exclusively retain us to support them in the recruitment of a specialist credit controller.

The role will be a hybrid role based in the office 40/60% of the time (Edinburgh city centre).

The role repots into the head of finance and sits within a team of sales ledger, purchase ledger and corporate finance.

The reason that the vacancy has come to fruition is because the company are going through a planned growth phase and this is a newly created position.

Our client could be described as being fast paced, innovative and boundary shaping.

The Responsibilities

As credit controller you will be responsible for the accurate reporting of aged debt, facilitating customers to clear invoices within agreed timescales and work collaboratively with internal colleagues to resolve queries as well as understanding bottlenecks in order to prevent aged debt.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Prepare weekly aged debt report together from various sources (Finance system, CRM system, offline spreadsheets)
Prepare other debtor analysis/reporting
Work with customer facing colleagues to understand reasons for non-payment and work together to collect cash
Keep records of status of / story behind each customers debt
Support Accounts Receivable team lead with month end billing process


The Requirements
We require applicants who are well versed in credit control.

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a career path of working within a credit control function for at least 5 years (within the UK), and posses outstanding communication skills in the form of verbal and in writing.

The organisation are currently in a cycle of implementing new processes and procedures as such a large amount of reporting is done in Excel.

Advanced excel skills will be required.


COVID19 statement

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working remotely.

If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them.
