Purpose of the Role

Safety Risk Executive will be responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining IAG Cargo's safety risk classification process which will underpin our approach to risk going forward.

They will act as a key interface between IAGC and the IAG Group Operating Carriers to ensure continuity of reporting, using a risk-based approach to drive positive safety improvements on the ground and in the air.

The role holder will be accountable for effectively collaborating across all business areas to ensure regulatory safety standards are implemented and the IAG Cargo leadership team have visibility of the business' safety risk performance and exposure.

Key Accountabilities

Accountable for the endtoend IAGC risk classification process
Supporting the development of global safety standards and a single safety management manual
Delivering safety impact assessments to support management of change initiatives
Production of trend analysis, metric collection, analytics and reporting across all operations, ensuring transparency across the network
Identifying safety risks and supporting the regional management teams and operating carriers in implementing improvement projects
Advise and support the business through regulatory changes across the global network and operating carriers ensuring their effective implementation to maintain compliance
Represent the interests of IAGC at Operating Carrier meetings

Person Specification

Skills:

An ability to proactively and constructively challenge assumptions and approaches at all levels
Strong problemsolving skills and an ability think beyond the realms of a known issue
Confidence to engage with and manage stakeholders across the business with competing priorities
An ability to translate regulations into policies
Highly analytical and confident in data management
Skilled and practiced investigator
Able to manage competing priorities and short deadlines
An authentic team player who can quickly fit in the IAG Cargo environment and adapt to evolving situations & business scenarios

Qualifications:

Degree level or equivalent work experience
NEBOSH, Risk Management certificate or equivalent (desirable)
Fluent written and spoken English, Spanish language skills an advantage.

Experience

Experience in risk management in an operational environment
Background in aviation or the logistics industry (desirable)
Exposure to regulatory frameworks
IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (desirable)
