  • We are seeking an enthusiastic Logistics Finance Clerk to join our recently created Logistics Finance team.

Based at our Head Office at Breedon on the Hill, Derby, within easy access of East Midlands Airport, this is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounts experience and take the next step in their career or for someone looking for a new challenge.

We are looking for a bright and friendly person who is keen to get stuck in and engage with a rapidly growing part of our business.

This is an all-around role with elements of Purchase ledger, Sales ledger, Customer Service, and general accounts duties.

You will have excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities, as well as good communication skills with the ability to build a rapport with our colleagues and hauliers.


Key responsibilities:


  • Creation and processing of manual selfbill invoices and credit notes for approved Haulier pay adjustments.
  • Administration of haulier accounts e.g. set up, termination and changes in contact information
  • Creating monthly sales invoices to recharge Hauliers for services and provide supporting documents
  • Creation and processing of accurate journal uploads to strict deadlines
  • Ensure queries are resolved in line with payment run deadlines
  • Reconcile Vehicle Accounts and Haulier Accounts including any reserves held
  • Maintain documents and our data systems to a high standard
  • Work closely with our Transport Managers and the Logistics & Transport teams to optimise services and team performance


You will be used to using Excel to intermediate level, like to offer ideas on process improvements and be able to work well within a team.

Any Logistics experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
