Surrey Fire and Rescue Service aims to make the county safer by integrating three key service areas: prevention, protection and intervention.

We're looking for someone who shares our vision and can support our mission.

We are excited to offer a great 12-month fixed term contract opportunity for a PA and Project Support Officer in our amazing Service Leadership Team, where everything you do will help us achieve our aims.

Your main work base location will be Surrey Fire and Rescue Headquarters at Woodhatch Place, Reigate. However,
hybrid and flexible working is welcomed and supported; we care about the job you do, not where you do it

This is a varied role where you'll be providing PA support for our busy Service Leadership Team.

This will involve inbox and diary management, prioritising appointments, responding to and resolving enquiries, minute taking and record keeping, organising events, high quality research and analysis, preparing reports and presentations, as well as administration and project support when required.

Previous experience of providing high level PA support is critical for this role.

We're looking for someone who can work successfully to deliver complex tasks through multiple strands of work, sometimes under pressure, and produce meeting notes and actions to a high standard; this position will require strong planning and organisational skills.

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your CV and personal statement will clearly evidence the following:

  • Experience of complex diary management and administration at a high level
  • Experience of minute taking and record keeping
  • Customer focus and ability to build strong relationships with senior people, both internally and externally
  • Meeting and event planning
  • High level presentation skills and experience.

At Surrey, our values and behaviours are just as important as our skills and abilities. They shape who we are as an organisation. Find out more about the values
we follow.
