Up to £35,000 + £4,300 Car Allowance
Full time, 37.5 hours
SF Recruitment are recruiting for an Environment and Waste Contract Coordinator to work for our established automotive client based in Warwick.
The successful individual will be responsible to develop, maintain the existing waste estate for customer contracts and to support in the delivery of new waste proposals.
Ensuring compliance and service delivery is met at all times.Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivery
- Managing and delivering Sustainability objectives which focus on environment and waste operations and project initiatives
- To support with and govern Waste and Recycling One software and Smart World ensuring the operational sites are using the system effectively in accordance with procedures
- Ensure & maintain legal compliance applicable waste legislation informing the company of any upandcoming regulations and mitigating the any risks to the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with the company's waste management procedure and update if required
- Conduct/maintain/manage duty of care audits for all sites and customers sites.
- Scheduling the audits as and when required
- Ensuring all relevant documents are stored and valid on the Smart World portals
- Work with other sites to continuously improve waste streams and reduce costs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the controls ensuring continuous improvement. Advise and assist where nonconformities are identified. Report audit finding to relevant parties
- Facilitate manage/maintain segregation/bin audits from the Operational Sites o Reporting nonconformities to site
- Support in the delivery to meet the customer expectations and their goals for example.

- Implement and manage the waste management minimisation/reduction projects
- Where required produce and implement control procedures
- Chair monthly meetings with operational sites
- Attend regular customer audits and support the with the delivery of against the audit schedule
- Produce monthly progress reports, KPI's and present findings when required
- Liaison with outside suppliers building relationships
- Deliver onsite training to the site waste operatives to become more accountable for legal compliance of waste management regulations e.g. Duty of care, administration, waste mapping, key performance indicators, waste reports, WR1 reports, Smart world, auditing and financial accountability.
- To maintain legal compliance with Health and Safety legislation, ensuring that all operations are undertaken in a safe manner with special focus on:
- All necessary risk assessments and method statements are available.
- All necessary current best practice is available and used.
- All necessary visual aids are available and used.
- To establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and operate audit processes that ensures Customer expectations are met.
- Support with new project activities, ensuring suppliers are contacted, prices are benched marked, solutions are identified and presented to stakeholders
- Ensure the production of monthly progress reports, being able to present and explain findings where appropriate.
- To comply with any reasonable requests made by the Account Manager, Director, or by the company.
- To monitor profitably by measuring actual costs against budget, ensuring that financial budgets are set.
- This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities associated with the role. In addition, you will perform other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager
- Work closely with General Manager and Head of Waste
- Work with site based operational personnel on all related activities
- Work with stakeholders and suppliers
Qualifications, knowledge and experience:
Essential
- Degree or higher, or equivalent, in waste, environment or sustainability
- Internal auditor
- IOSH or equivalent qualification
- ADR basic competency
- Experience of working within the waste industry or manufacturing
- Certificate of Technical Competence preferred
- Project management
- Waste compliance
- Duty of Care understanding
- Proven record of managing legal compliance
- Leading and support teams and individuals
- Handling customer queries and complaints
- Contract management of suppliers
- Service Level Agreement (SLA's)
- Managing high value contracts
