Description

TRC have recently partnered with the UK's leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene. Our client is looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

Salary:
£35,000

Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

The Role

To measure the performance of mechanical components, devices and machines
To maintain and modify equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient
To undertake test procedures
To provide technical advice
To recommend modifications to the production machines
To monitor and commission plant, machinery and systems
To repair, service and maintain equipment whether responding to emergency breakdowns or through planned maintenance
To comply with company health and safety rules
To participate with the quality and environmental practices in the workplace
Effective technical skills
Awareness of health and safety
The ability to work under pressure
Teamworking skills
Good oral and written communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including contractors, product engineers, directors and machine operators
Organisational skills, such as time and resource planning
An analytical and problemsolving approach to work
Flexibility in order to adapt to evolving technologies
Knowledge of working with hydraulics and pneumatics
Strong fault diagnosis and ratification skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S
Verifiable Qualification inany of the following: Mechanical engineering / Electromechanical engineering / Electrical engineering
A welding qualification would be an advantage
