Accounts Payable Assistant

Location:
Bridgnorth (Remote Working)


Salary:
£18,000 - £21,000, DoE

Purpose of the Accounts Payable Assistant:

  • An experienced accounts payable administrator responsible for the processing and payment of supplier invoices. To verify, match and code large volume of invoices. A professional person that is able to work cross departmentally and be able to manage their time effectively.
  • Manage business expenses and be the owner of the process, implementing improvements where needed.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Assistant:

  • Processing invoices in multiple software platforms, providing cover where required.
  • Matching supplier invoices to PO's and coding invoices
  • Posting payments into accounts package
  • Statement reviews and requisitions
  • Checking GRNI bookings
  • Verifying invoices and credit notes
  • Responsible for monthly expenses from employees
  • Completing supplier payment runs
  • Assisting with month end preparation for the Finance Manager
  • Manage business credit card and cash expenses
  • Provide training induction for new starters for expenses / mileage reimbursement.

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Assistant:

  • 1 year + experience in a finance department
  • Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • GCSEs or equivalent (including English, Math's and IT)
  • Honest and Trustworthy
  • Be flexible
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a 'can do' attitude
