About the Role
Responsible for the successful delivery of the Voneus Fibre network construction for your project.

As the Build Supervisor you will be expected to provide/deliver support to your Build Partners on site working in collaboration with the Voneus Build function.


What you will be responsible for

  • Supervise all activities associated with the deployment of the Voneus FTTP networks and customer connections.
  • Be one of the HSE ambassadors, driving best in industry H&S standards with both our own employees and Supplier Partners.
  • Be the first line escalation for your Build Partner working hand in hand with their Supervisors, Gangers etc and form part of the solutions team to ensure the build is efficient, built in a timely manner to the correct standards and specifications
  • Build and maintain effective and healthy relationships with suppliers, internal teams, council & Highways representatives and customers
  • Work with Partners and the PMO team to ensure that the calculated Cost Per Premise Past (CPPP) is maintained during the build phase.
  • Evaluate and discuss solutions to drive cost down helping to improve CPPP.
  • Interaction with Community Engagement team and presales to ensure signed up customers are aware of progress
  • Liaising with all required internal departments and teams to ensure the successful rollout of the fibre build.
  • Interaction with residents and businesses during build where required ensuring any potential sales are established.
  • Ensure that all Partners and Suppliers are compliant to our company requirements on Health, safety and Quality.
  • Ensure Partner performance is as advertised and targets are met and validated.
  • To abide by the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.
  • Work with your Area Build Manager and the wider team to understand cost implications to decisions made on site
  • Control of expenses and spend of direct reports
**What we are looking for

  • Up to 5 years' of relevant experience within a similar role managing or supervising on a Fibre Build.
  • Understanding of Utilities marketplace.
  • Experience of the Openreach network topography particularly Passive Infrastructure Access (PIA) process.
  • Long standing experience with Partner Management and driving to success.
  • Working knowledge of CDM practices and regulations.
  • A background in and/or formal training on Project Management methodology (Prince 2 or PMP etc).
  • Qualified in with a working knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 199
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to set an example.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Flexible, quick thinker, highly organised and can deal with tight deadlines and a demanding environment.
  • Confident and proactive, prepared to take a hands on approach.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • An open minded consultative approach.
  • Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Attention to detail without missing the bigger picture
  • NRSWA Supervisor.
  • IOSH or other HSE qualification desirable.
  • CSCS or SSMTS qualification.
  • PIA Accreditation in; SA001, SA002, S7 & S
  • Valid Driver's License.
