The pupils, staff and governors of
St Mary's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced learning support assistant to work with a SEND pupil in Early Years.

We are looking for caring, flexible and conscientious people who display a total commitment to the principles of inclusion. The role involves aspects of intimate personal care and working with pupils with challenging behaviour.

  • A good understanding of inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • An understanding of how children learn in Early Years
  • Patience, resilience and a positive outlook
  • Good organisation and communication skills enabling them to work effectively as part of a team
  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changes
  • The ability to engage with parents and develop positive relationships with pupils and staff
