About the role:


In this role you will unlock funding for the major construction projects to build the transmission network for Net Zero.

To do this, you will spend your time working within project teams to help them deliver their key regulatory submissions to Ofgem, spending varying periods from around a month up to around a year on each submission.

You will take existing project documentation and then work with the project team to fully understand our case for funding.

You will coordinate the preparation of written submissions to Ofgem, including by writing and rewriting materials yourself, ensuring that the outputs are acceptable and accessible to Ofgem's staff.


About you:

You will be educated to degree level in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Economics, Business or related discipline or have an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience and have relevant industry experience


You will also have:

  • Significant experience of coordinating and drafting submissions to government or regulatory bodies and an ability to summarise submissions in presentation form.
  • Experience of coordinating matrix teams to successfully deliver complex outputs without direct line management accountability for your key contributors.
  • Numeracy, with a good understanding of commercial value and an ability to rapidly understand commercial value drivers in a new context.
  • A collaborative personality able to quickly build effective partnerships with others around the business and a strong team culture within a matrixed organisation.
  • Results orientated, consistently managing timely delivery with a high level of attention to detail in a challenging environment whilst dealing with rapid change and ambiguity.
  • An understanding of the broad principles of project and/or risk management.
Experience of direct management of small teams would be an advantage but is not essential. UK Transmission experience is not essential for this role.
