As a result of internal movement within our service an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical/Practitioner Psychologist to join our team as lead for Psychological Practice to support the development of Psychological Practice across the Child and Family Psychology and Therapies Services.
This person will have a key strategic role in the development of sector-leading psychological practice.They will work closely with the Heads of Service for Child and Family Psychology and therapies to develop and operationalise high quality psychological practice and governance across the service.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about children and their families and the role psychology can play in supporting their mental health and wellbeing.
You will need to be a good communicator with a facilitative style and a vision for making the pathway for children and families as positive and helpful as it can possibly be.
Your professional home will be with the ABUHB Child & Family Psychology and Therapies Service that serves the area of Gwent.
The post holder will work across all of these teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated and high-quality psychological service.
In conjunction with the Heads of Service, the lead for psychological practice will play a key role developing and maintaining the values, practice and governance of the service.
They will be responsible for developing and implementing systems to support the provision of Psychological Practice that ensure access, choice and quality for our children and families.
The post holder will be a valued member of the Gwent Child & Family Psychology & Therapies Service, which is a thriving and supportive team with a wide variety of psychological service strands and specialisms.
There is a caring and compassionate culture and a strong track record in developing and delivering excellent psychological services for children, their families and the professionals in systems which support them.
