Ambition is delighted to be working with an established International Accounting Firm, with offices based in the US and UK who are seeking a Qualified Accountant to join the team.


The Firm


We are working with an international firm of accountants and bsuiness managers specilaising in the international entertainment industry with a particular emphasis on music.

With offices in London, LA, New York, Nashville and other locations in the USA, theapplicant will be joining a worldwide team of over 500 staff


The Role


This is a new role in the ondon based accounts production department resulting from general growth of the client base and the need for the head of the department to delegate more of her work due to her also taking on the role of Head of Compliance and takingon various practice management responsibilities for the London office.


Depending on experience the role would cover work that traditionally would be undertaken by an accounts senior through to an assistant manager.

- The exact mix of this would be tailored to the applicant's experience.


The department supports our business management groups which deal the day to day financial control function for our UK and international entertainment client base.

The department also deals with clients who have their own in house accounts departments

The accounts department consists of 3 qualified accountants and 3 junior staff currently studying for ACCA. The department works closely with our tax department.


Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Year end accounts including statutory accounts Limited company and LLP accounts under FRS102 1A, partnership and sole trader accounts.
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for tax department review
  • Assist bookkeepers and accounts semi seniors with accounting issues that arise in the year
  • Assisting with the preparation/reviewing of VAT returns
  • Company Secretarial matters including the preparation of the annual confirmation statements and company formation
  • Supervising junior staff
  • Training junior staff
  • Management accounts
  • Ad hoc projects including Business Plans and Cash Flow Forecasts
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Able to demonstrate wide experience and competency in delivering accounts and meeting all client's compliance requirements, managing a team of accountants and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Experience in CCH and QuickBooks is preffered but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
