Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to work with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Sunderland.


The students who attend these schools have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those identified as having an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

As part of a supportive local authority, these schools are committed to providing individualised support to help each child develop their self-esteem, achieve personal targets, and cultivate a love for learning.

Our team of staff is dedicated to inspiring, motivating, challenging, and supporting each student, regardless of their individual needs.

We are looking for a professional and passionate individual who shares our commitment to supporting children with additional needs.

You must be adaptable and able to meet the unique needs of each student, using excellent behaviour management techniques to create a positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
