An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) disclosures and reporting professional to join part of our new Group Sustainability team as we expand to lead the wider Skipton Group to deliver on our sustainability ambitions.


Reporting to the Group Head of Sustainability in this senior role, you'll lead the Society's and wider Group's ESG reporting and disclosures, capturing progress and delivery against targets associated with climate related risk and opportunities, and wider ESG activity.

You'll also be accountable for the coordination of monitoring data from the wider Group used to share our progress.

You'll also make sure we align with the requirements of external legal, regulatory and ESG reporting best practice frameworks, sharing your strong understanding these with stakeholders.

You'll be joining the Group Sustainability Team, part of our 20-strong Legal, Secretariat & Sustainability function, collaborating closely with stakeholders right across the Group to deliver high quality ESG and climate reports and disclosures.

No two days are the same and you'll be confident in managing competing priorities, working to key reporting deadlines, and growing your robust knowledge of ESG and climate related business and reporting requirements in an impactful way to support stakeholders and drive engagement.

What Will You Be Doing?

This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior role in managing and delivering the Skipton Group's specialist ESG and climate risk reporting and disclosures


You will:

  • Be responsible for the production and management of the Society's Group ESG and climaterelated disclosures in both the annual report and other external reports (i.e., Group Sustainability Report, TCFD/ ISSB IFRS S1 and S2, UN PRB reporting, Group Climate Transition Plan, Basis of Preparation etc).
  • Develop and own the Group reporting and disclosures strategy and climate risk reporting framework, ensuring that the approach to reporting is clearly communicated and cascaded across the Skipton Group with appropriate levels of engagement and buyin.
  • Creating and managing the Skipton Group's ESG data collection and reporting framework, working across the business and Group to access, compile and evaluate ESG data, monitor performance, and report against Skipton's targets and commitments.
  • Be accountable for verification and assurance for the Skipton Group's disclosures.
