IT Infrastructure Operations Manager - ITIL,Sysops, IT Systems Management


Our Corporate client, based in London, is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and technically astute IT Infrastructure Operations Manager with strong technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure and leadership skills.

Experience managing ITIL based work (Incident, Request, Change) and good technical knowledge of infrastructure services is required.


Duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Be responsible for the execution and support of the systems operations infrastructure services (Sysops)
  • Manage work across ITIL & SCRUM backlogs
  • Be responsible for leading a systems operations support team in the disciplines of System Administration, DevOps, Provisioning/Deployment/Patching, and Security Compliance Operations per the ITSM model.
  • Manages crisis situations with the IT Service Delivery team
  • Responsible for developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Be responsible for developing department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as determining level of effort and prioritization for the department to appropriately align to the goals of the company.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as well as being a strategic thinker with good problem-solving skills.


Leadership / Management skills and experience

  • Staff development, training, and mentoring
  • Develop and report KPIs to management
  • Establishing individual objectives, providing regular, constructive feedback
  • Collaboration & communication across teams to ensure goals and objectives are aligned
  • Strong ability to problemsolve and troubleshoot
  • Ability to work with the wider IT teams e.g. IT Business Partners, Development teams, Application teams, etc
  • Researches and evaluates existing and emerging systems and develops recommendations to enhance and improve performance.
  • Manage, coach and conduct performance appraisals of direct reports to facilitate their development and effective performance of a motivated and empowered team.
  • Provide management reporting against agreed support performance metrics.
  • Manages crisis situations with the IT Service Delivery team
  • Be part of an oncall rota
This is a permanent position based in London/remote and is paying a salary of up to £100,000 + benefits


Again, we are seeking a strong IT Infrastructure Operations Manager with strong technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure and leadership skills.

You must also be experienced in managing ITIL based work (Incident, Request, Change) and experienced in managingcrisis situations with the IT Service Delivery team
