About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Management Accountant to be based on-site at the new Peterborough Plant. The role of Management Accountant reports to the Plant Financial Controller.

This is an incredible opportunity to join Crown in a brand-new role and become one of our 'first feet on the ground', allowing you to be involved in setting up the Finance function for the Plant and putting best practice in place from day one.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Support the achievement of future organisational improvement through preparing, developing, and analysing key financial information
Proactively provide highquality support to management colleagues
Maintain accurate financial records whilst complying with internal/external policies to ensure value is achieved through management information systems
Monitor monthend management accounting, including preparation of income statement, balance sheet, variance analysis, and commentary
Support Plant functions to make financial decisions
Identify opportunities to optimise value, support the Plant costreduction programme, and implement continuous improvement
Communicate financial results and analysis to Financial and Non-Financial managers
Prepare and present budget and rolling forecast
Perform standard costing review
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements and other internal financial risks and controls

Required Education and Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant status E.g. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
Alternatively, Qualified by Experience with a relevant degree qualification

Required Knowledge and Experience

3 5 years of postqualified management accounting experience

Experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment

Required Skills and Competencies

Expert technical and systems skills, including advanced Excel and ERP system expertise (ideally with JDE/SAP)
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels
Good presentation skills to report data to Financial and Non-Financial management
Ability to work productively and efficiently under highpressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrable attention to detail whilst delivering highquality work
Highly analytical
Ability to contribute and thrive in an environment that is focussed on Continuous Improvement

The Plant will operate 24 hours per day on a continuous shift system, 360 days per annum, and will employ approximately 280 people.
