Description

We are hoping to recruit a dynamic and conscientious nurse, with recent experience of caring for patients with or at risk of arrhythmias to work in the Arrhythmia and Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) team within the Bristol Heart Institute.

Maintain standards and practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, national guidelines and local Trust policies, procedures and guidelines

Act as an expert clinical resource in the management of people with arrhythmias for all healthcare professionals within UHBW, other acute Trusts, Primary Care Trusts and the Cardiac Network


To provide specialist arrhythmia nursing advice and support system for patients and their families with or without an inherited cardiac condition from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment, assessing each patient and/ or family member for specific psychological needs, linking them to relevant ongoing sources of support e.g.

support groups, psychologist, and social services

Partake in nurse-led provocation/diagnostic tests under supervision of Band 7 colleagues

Deliver Electrophysiology and Cardiac Device related pre-assessment alongside Band 6 colleague and outpatient department

To work alongside Band 6 & TNA colleague to deliver early specialist assessment of cardiac device wounds and sites
