An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 3, Health Care Assistant to work within the Community Cardiac Service.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys providing excellent care and ensure patients are always put first.


The applicant will have experience in working within a cardiac and will need to be able to perform basic cardiac tests such as ECG and be able to do manual blood pressures.

Working in an outpatient setting would be an advantage. The applicant will require good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

This post holder will be based in the Ealing service at the Hanwell Health Centre.


The post holder will also be required to work across a number of clinics in the Community to provide cover where needed.

The successful applicant will be given appropriate training for other diagnostics carried out in the community.

  • To support a multidisciplinary specialist team in delivering care to patients within the outpatient setting within the Community Cardiology Clinics.
  • The Community Cardiology Clinic are based across London and the post holder will be required to travel across all clinic sites to support the service
  • Assist in the provision of diagnostics testing and preparation of patients for clinic.
  • The post holder will working within a team of Nurses, Physiologist and administrative staff based in the Community site.
  • The post holder will be line managed by a Band 6 Clinic Nurse.
  • To support the provision and delivery of health care and health promotion advice in order that patients are informed and empowered to make appropriate health choices to support their independence
  • Carry out assigned duties that maintain orderliness and safety of the clinic environment.
  • To be flexible in working practices and areas.
