Apprentice Warehouse Inventory Administrator - Bicester, United Kingdom - Ralph Davies International Ltd
Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock movements, conducting regular audits, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Learn to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of food ingredients, packaging materials, and other inventory items.
- Participate in quality control processes to ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Contribute to regular inspections of inventory to identify discrepancies, spoilage, or damage, and assist in taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with experienced warehouse and logistics teams to learn about optimizing inventory storage, organization, and space utilization.
- Support the generation of basic reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and quality control results.
- Gain insights into forecasting inventory needs based on production schedules and sales projections.
- Learn about maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including health and safety, food safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes and overall warehouse efficiency.
- Receive training and guidance from senior staff on proper inventory management and quality control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A desire to learn and grow in the inventory management field.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, or a strong willingness to learn.
- An interest in quality control processes, food safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Developing organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Willingness to learn and adapt, with a positive attitude toward tackling challenges.
- Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn to use inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Problemsolving attitude and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventoryrelated issues.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, learn quickly, and adapt to changing priorities.
