We are a popular private gym facility based in the town centre of Ripley Derbyshire, and we are looking for a Gym Assistants with an IMMEDIATE interview and start date.

Working in the fitness industry is not a 9-5 job Monday to Friday job, as a business we are open 7 days per week.

_However _if you have a passion for fitness or the fitness industry ,then this position could be for you.

We are looking for two additional staff members to strength our team working on a rota basis, minimum 20 hours per week and will include days, evening and one alternative weekend day.

There is a possibility that the role could be combined to make one full time position on the same schedule.

Please note this is a job share position so shifts are pre set on specific days

Role:

Working within the gym area with reception duties.

*You will be meeting and greeting customers.

*Checking memberships and signing in access, as well as renewing and creating new memberships.

*Carrying out inductions and offering help and advice if required (if qualified).

*Serving protein drinks and pre workouts.

Working on the gym floor keeping it tidy and free from trip hazards
General cleaning tasks and good housekeeping of the gym area.

And any ad hoc duties to ensure a clean and well presented facility at all times.

You will need to be proactive, and very self motivated and able to work on your own initiative. Some shifts will be lone working shifts, when your innovative thinking will be required to keep active.

Hours:

Working on spilt two week rota basis. Various shifts, which would include Early mornings, Afternoons and evening shifts and Saturdays.

The current shift pattern would be:

Person 1; week 1Wednesday 2-9, Thursday 2-9 Friday 1-8 Alternative Sundays 8-2.
week 2 Wednesday 7-2-, Thursday 7-2- Friday7-1

Person 2:
Fixed shift** Monday 2-9, Tuesday 2-9 Alternative Sundays 8-2.

Additional hours are available in addition to standard hours, for any free rota shift of which could be any shift pattern.

With advance notice shift schedules could change twice per year to meet business requirements.

Qualifications:

Ideally educated to a minimum level 2 NVQ in Exercise & fitness including gym based training or equivalent governing body.

Person:

An extremely self motivated role ,we require someone who is proactive and able to work well on their own initiative.

We are looking a people person with a outgoing bright and bubbly personality ,in this customer facing role.

Someone who can easily communicate with others, a self starter who is able to think outside of the box, willing to undertake any task, (which will include cleaning the equipment).

You will need to be computer literate, although training will be given on our own bespoke system and have a basic knowledge of maths and be used to cash handling.

On occasion you will be required to cover additional shifts for holidays(with notice ) and sickness making flexibility paramount. As there are early morning starts and late evening your own transport is advisable.
