Description
Within the accountancy services team, you will assume responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients.


You will be provided with full training and support to allow you to take on a client portfolio and manage the day-to-day duties of working as an accountant.


The job will encompass managing and being responsible for providing excellent customer service as well as ensuring all clients' deadlines are met promptly.

We will support you by providing all the training that you need to develop into an accountant.


Main Responsibilities
Take on a client portfolio which has a mixture of suspended, dormant and some active.

  • Full responsibility for your client portfolio.
  • Where necessary prepare or review financial yearend accounts and provide proactive advice and support
  • Ensure all VAT returns are correctly submitted to HMRC in a timely manner.
  • Prepare or review selfassessment tax returns for all your clients and provide proactive advice and support where necessary.
  • Onboard new clients into your client portfolio, where necessary.
  • Respond to client queries via the preferred company methods.
  • Provide proactive tax planning to clients, where relevant.
  • Assist with IR35 reviews where necessary.
  • Assisting team members where required.

In-House Training
In-depth and ongoing In-house training will be provided to ensure you develop skills to provide an all-round accounting service to your clients, but not limited to:

  • 121 weekly mentoring from a senior accountant and team manager.
  • Technical knowledge training to respond to the majority of client queries.
  • Being able to prepare and/or review yearend accounts for all types of clients.
  • Being able to prepare and/or review quarterly VAT returns for the common schemes.
  • Being able to prepare and/or review selfassessment tax returns

Person Specification

  • No previous accountancy experience Is required but it would be beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team yet selfmotivated and targetdriven.
  • Excellent multitasking ability.
  • Strong organisational skills

Pay:
£24,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
