About the role and team
***- Anthony Collins are currently recruiting for a Disrepair Team Leader to join our Housing Litigation team.- You will manage the Disrepair legal assistant sub team and to be a key member of the team which provides advice to clients in connection with disrepair cases. Working to tight timescales and volume work the role includes pre-action protocol cases and litigated cases from start to conclusion.
Key Duties

Assist where appropriate with recruiting new members of the team
Line manage the legal assistants in the team including undertaking probationary review for new recruits and regular 121s for disrepair legal assistants
Ensure that work is being carried out efficiently by team members and that workflows are being monitored and distributed across the team
Act as link between housing litigation fee earners and legal assistants delivering the work in order to ensure fee earners are not spending time chasing and managing routine work
Maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all dealings with clients, colleagues and all people with whom you come into contact
Accurately and comprehensively to record all time spent in accordance with the firm's time recording system
Carry out such administrative duties as may be required on files maintained and supervised by fee earners
Assist in, and undertake, legal research
Maintain and collate relevant resources and publications
Deal with routine correspondence and telephone calls
Where requested, to be involved in the production of newsletters, marketing materials and other documents for the benefit of clients generally
Develop knowledge and understanding by attendance at relevant in house training sessions to support personal and career development. Those undertaking the CILEX qualification must ensure they complete their CPD requirements.
To carry out all other reasonable duties, as requested

***- Some experience of working in a similar role and team would be advantageous.

Has previous experience of leading a team
Has an interest in working in the Social Housing sector
Has strong written English skills
Has excellent IT skills
Has a solutions based mindset
Is well organised in order to cope well with working to tight deadlines
