Mechanical Supervisor
Overview:
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee the mechanical division of our residential projects from inception to completion, ensuring strict adherence to regulations, client specifications, and safety standards.
Your role will be pivotal in guiding the on-site team, subcontractors, and ensuring efficient deployment of resources.Responsibilities:

Project Supervision: Lead the mechanical division throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all current regulations, industry standards, and specific client requirements related to mechanical aspects of the project.

Safety Standards: Champion and maintain high safety standards, ensuring all team members and contractors understand, implement, and adhere to safety protocols on-site.

Coordination and Management: Assist the on-site team in coordinating subcontractors' work, ensuring alignment with the project's construction sequence and program. Efficiently allocate tasks and oversee work distribution.

Influence and Drive: Encourage positive attitudes and behaviours toward site health and safety among team members. Use your influence to drive a safety-oriented culture on-site.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain documentation such as method statements, inspection test plans, risk assessments, and commissioning reports. Report regularly on project progress.

Supervisory Role: Manage and supervise staff and third parties effectively, ensuring their compliance with project requirements and performance standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Industryrelevant City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a fulltime supervisory role, preferably within residential projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and IT skills.
- Uptodate first aid qualifications and knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
- Strong understanding of building services, including design principles, commissioning, and handover requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to comprehend and implement method statements, inspection test plans, and risk assessments.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in supervising mechanical divisions within residential construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and influence a positive safety culture on construction sites.
Salary:
£300 - £350 per day
