About Us


People Technology Solutions is responsible for the design and delivery of HR & Payroll digital services for over 9,000 colleagues across the university.

The team consists of three collaborative hubs who are driven by service improvement and innovation:
Digital Services Management, People Data & Analytics and Service Design & Improvement.

About the Role


The Digital Services Management team, are responsible for managing and improving the day to day running of KCL's HR & Payroll System, PeopleXD, through the delivery of new software features and solutions.

The team has recently started the roll out of the Workforce Management module, and we are looking for a system administrator to join the project to help us with the release of this technology to the wider university.

The initial phase has been to run a pilot in two small departments before launching the module to the University.

The role holder will be responsible for a range of system administration activities including:
Troubleshooting system issues and queries

Data validation (including running reports and making data corrections where applicable)

Supporting the data migration of leave balances and collation of working patterns

Support service release activities, such as demos, liaising with the business areas and inputting into deployment plans

Access and Security

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent customer service and engagement skills. The role holder will also require a good understanding of the data protection legislation.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/07/2025

About You

Essential criteria

  • Advanced IT skills using MS Office software, particularly MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to confidently liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of using People XD or another Human Resources system or similar large relational database
  • Understanding of data quality and integrity issues
  • Understanding of data protection and governance issues
  • Ability to manage own workload and work with mínimal supervision
Desirable criteria

  • First degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in Higher Education
