Principal Accountabilities:


  • Answering phone calls and responding appropriately to the caller's needs.
  • Pack and post samples. Log samples and make follow up calls.
  • Printing delivery notes.
  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Arranging couriers.
  • Keeping the reception area clean and presentable.
  • Screening phone calls.
  • Process customer payments
  • Processing post, parcels and goodsinwards.
  • Support the supply office.
  • Maintaining security for the building and health and safety, issuing hi vis jackets and completing visitor and contractor forms.
  • Notifying appropriate people that a visitor has arrived to see them.
  • Signing visitors in and out.
  • Keeping track of the people arriving for appointments and when they leave the building.
  • General data protection awareness.
  • Log templates and customers own property
  • Liaise with the production department to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Stay uptodate with new products and offer an upselling philosophy.
  • Maintain security by following procedures and ensuring visitors do not pass through reception before being processed.
  • Keep a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures and safety rules
  • Issue contractor forms, hot works permits and asbestos form as required for contractors.

Knowledge & Experience:


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly driven.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience as a receptionist / trade counter an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • A team player with high level of dedication
